The community of Our Lady and St Kevin’s Church in Littleton, Co. Tipperary, came together recently for a special Mass and devotion to the Sacred Heart, a cherished tradition within the parish
Thanks to the efforts of dedicated individuals working with Parish Priest, Fr. Tom Fogarty, a lovely display was created beside the altar in anticipation of the Sacred Heart statue
The morning began with a moving procession at 8:40 AM, as the Sacred Heart statue was carried from the church entrance to the altar while hymns were sung. Fr. Tom shared insights into the history and importance of the Sacred Heart devotion in Ireland, including its comforting promises
Following the 9 AM Mass, those present spent time in quiet prayer before joining in the Rosary and more hymns. The celebration concluded with a final procession, carrying the Sacred Heart statue from the altar back to the church door. It was a beautiful demonstration of the Littleton parish’s deep connection to the Sacred Heart
