Join the Sacred Heart Pilgrim Statue Procession, on 2 June, in the Down & Connor Diocese

Down & Connor Diocese – Monday, 2nd June 2025 at 5:30 PM
Route: From Saul to Downpatrick

As part of the “Pilgrims of Hope 2025” initiative, the Down & Connor Diocese warmly invites all faithful, families, and parish communities to take part in a special Sacred Heart Pilgrim Statue Evening Procession on Monday, June 2nd, 2025

This meaningful walk begins at 5:30 PM in Saul and journeys together in prayer and reflection to Downpatrick, culminating in Mass at 7:30 PM. The evening offers a beautiful opportunity to gather as a local ‘Family of Parishes’ and renew our collective devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus – in our homes, parishes, schools, diocese, and throughout our country

This procession features one of the four Sacred Heart statues that were personally blessed and sent to Ireland by Pope Francis, specifically to inspire and promote a deepened national devotion to the Sacred Heart. This spiritual journey is part of our preparation for the upcoming Down & Connor Diocesan Novena (June 18th–26th) and Ireland’s Re-Consecration to the Sacred Heart at Knock Shrine on June 22nd, led by Archbishop Martin

Let us come together in hope, faith, and unity on this sacred stroll through the heart of our faith community
