The Arrival of the Sacred Heart Statue – A Time of Grace and Reflection – Saint Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny.
Saint Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny, is honored to host the Sacred Heart Statue, which has been blessed by Pope Francis. The statue remains in the cathedral until midweek, offering a profound opportunity for prayer and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
At the Votive Mass to the Sacred Heart, celebrated by Mgr. Kevin Gillespie, the faithful were reminded of the deep significance of this devotion. “Each person comes with their own burdens and concerns, but above all, you come with faith and with love of God. We ask that this time together this evening, and the other opportunities you will have to pray to the Sacred Heart, may give you peace, encouragement, and all the graces that Jesus wishes for you to have.”
This special visit of the statue is a moment to renew our hearts in the love of Christ. As Mgr. Gillespie reflected, “The Sacred Heart stands as a great symbol of the love of God for each and every one of us—in so many circumstances of our lives.”
