On Friday, 27th June 2025, the Church of the Sacred Heart, Yellow Walls, was honoured to host a special celebration of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Parishioners from across the four parishes of our partnership gathered in great numbers for this joyful and prayerful occasion
The celebration marked the culmination of a national crusade of devotion, during which four statues of the Sacred Heart—blessed by the late Pope Francis—journeyed around Ireland over nine consecutive Fridays. The final stop of this pilgrimage was here in our own parish
Archbishop Dermot Farrell presided at the 11:30am Mass, a deeply moving liturgy that brought together the wider faith community. We were also blessed by the presence of relics of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and St. Claude de la Colombière, which were available for veneration following the Mass
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who participated and supported this beautiful event. It was a memorable and grace-filled day for our parish family
